On Monday, 6th March, 15 volunteers from both the Parish Council and Silverstone Village gathered for the first time as we embark on research for the production of a Neighbourhood Plan.

The purpose of the meeting was two fold. Firstly, it gave volunteers the opportunity to meet and begin to form working relationships as we move forward. We were also delighted to welcome representatives from both Kilsby and Barby in the Daventry District who had been through the process of producing Neighbourhood Plans and had their plans 'made' by their communities in July and September of last year.

Their Parish Clerk gave an overview and all three of our guests were able to answer queries and give more detail about the process, the use of external consultants to check progress and the financial implications for the Parish Council.

It was generally felt that the way forward is do-able and, with the engagement of the community, we had made a positive step forward.
